Bet365 horse racing section – Structure, Design and Navigation
The horse racing section at Bet365 website is well designed with navigational qualities being on the forefront of its layout. As with Bet365’s other sections, the horse racing loads quickly and lists all relevant races in a format that is sectioned into the relevant country. While it’s colour scheme may be somewhat simple, serious punters will appreciate the simplicity of this as it is easier to locate upcoming races, read odds and place bets.
Horse Racing Bonuses
Bet365 is known for its extensive range of bonuses, not for sports betting in general, but also its other betting markets, with horse betting being one of them. Below we look closer at the available promotions and how they benefit those placing horse racing bets.
Bet365 Price Promise
The Bet365 Price Promise guarantees that you will get the best price for all races shown on ITV for every horse. All that is required is to place a bet after 10 am on race day on Each Way or Win fixed odds market for races shown on ITV Racing live. Bet365 guarantees your price will be better, or the same as its competitors like William Hill, Ladbrokes, Coral, Paddy Power, Boylesports and Sky Bet.
Best Odds Guaranteed
Bet365’s best odds guaranteed is another of its on-going promotions that will, when place a bet on a horse race and take the price on the selection, pay the best odds if your horse wins and the SP is greater. This promotion is only offered for Each Way, Win Fixed Odds markets or Enhanced Place Terms markets. This guarantee doesn’t apply to races in New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong or Singapore.
Bet365’s Racing Value is designed to give punters early prices on select horse races in the UK or Ireland. As part of its Racing Value promotion, Bet365 will offer showcasts on fixed price straight forecasts as well as tricasts. This promotion does not apply to tote bets or To Be Placed markets.
In addition to the above, Bet365 will pay double on both the official winner and disqualified horse when fixed odds are offered. Only bets placed on Ante-Post bets, Betting Without bets, Each Way Extra bets, Enhanced Win bets, Place Only bets and Cover Bets will apply.
The Racing value section furthermore provides No More 5p Rule 4 Deductions whenever a horse is withdrawn from a race with odds ranging from 10/1 to 14/1. Adding to its value, a Non-Runner No Bet promotion will, on selected races over the course of the year, will refund bets placed on Win ort Each way after the point.
Each Way Extra
The Each Way Extra at Bet365 offers you the chance to choose your place terms for Each Way bets on selected horses. This provides the option of increasing or decreasing the number of places in a race when betting Each Way on selected races.
Watch Live Horse Racing
Every race that takes place in the UK or Ireland is available to watch live on Bet365 for a minimum stake of £0.50. To be able to watch a live race, simply place a qualifying bet and then click on ‘Watch’. This feature is offered for desktop, the mobile site and mobile apps.
To allow punters the opportunity to research upcoming races thoroughly, they feature an extensive Racing Archive that will allow you to view past races. It is perfect for those wishing to collect information on a horse’s past performance based on track conditions and the jockey.
Horse racing news
I love the fact that Bet365 has a dedicated Horse Racing News section! Of course, there are plenty of news sites that provide up-to-date news about horse racing but having one on your favourite betting site is convenient, especially when placing a bet. The Horse Racing Betting News is divided into three sections; A general Horse Racing section, a section dedicated to Australian horse racing and one dedicated to Harness racing.
Bet365 understands the value in mobile access, and as such, offers multiple options for punters wishing to access the site using their mobile devices. This includes apps for both iOS and Android as well as a mobile browser version of its main site. Each are equal in quality and have been thoughtfully designed with great features such as stats and a live audio channel. The mobile app also features the same promotions as its desktop site, and it’s the interface offers high user performance. The mobile apps can be downloaded to your phones via the app store or directly from the mobile web page at Bet365.
I love mobile betting for the freedom it gives you, but I’ve often ended up frustrated with slow connections or poorly designed apps in comparison to desktop sites. My experience with Bet365 wasn’t at all like that, and it was found to work really well and offer a similar experience to the web browser. However, it should be noted that the overall experience is dependent on your connection, but beyond that, there are no deficiencies.
After registering with Bet365 and verifying your details, you will be able to proceed with your first deposit. As a professional betting site, Bet365 makes this easy as they provide an extensive list of payment methods. They include not only most major credit cards, but also a collection of prepaid payment methods, ewallets and direct bank alternatives. As Bet365 is licensed and a publicly traded company, security is a priority, and as such, they undertake strict protocols to ensure each transaction is protected using the last in encryption technology. For a full list of available deposit methods, you can view the Bet365 payment methods page.
What happens in a dead heat?
When there are two selections in a dead heat, half of the staked bet will be forfeited, while the full odds are paid to the other half. If there are more than two horses in a dead heat, the stake is proportioned.
What is a ‘swinger bet’?
This is when you select two horses to finish within the first three places when the race has six or more participants. You are not allowed to use unnamed choices (i.e. stipulate ‘the favourite’) in this type of bet. If the field is reduced to fewer than four runners, the swinger bet will be voided and refunded.
Is a ‘Not to Win’ bet the same as a Win bet?
Most of the rules are the same, but there are a few exceptions. If there are only two horses in the race, you cannot place a Not to Win bet. Also, the horse you choose must have odds of 8/1 or less to win. You can’t place more than one ‘Not to Win’ bet on the same race.
What is an Each Way bet?
Selecting an Each Way bet means you bet twice the stake. Effectively you’re betting on the horse to Win and also to Place.
What happens if my selection doesn’t take part in the re-run after a false start?
If there is a re-run due to a false start, stakes are refunded on horses that do not take part. It’s important to note that the number of horses that take part in the re-run is what decides the Place terms.
Who is eligible for Best Odds Guaranteed?
This is available to all new or eligible customers. There are a few exceptions, such as Australasian races. Also, you can’t use all bet types. In the excluded list are: ‘Not to Win’, In Play bets, Cover Bets, Ante-post bets, Tote/Pari-Mutuel bets and dividends.
What happens if a race is postponed or rescheduled?
Bets will stand if a race is postponed to later the same day or to another day and final declarations still stand. However, there are occasions whereby single horse racing bets will be void. This happens when a race is abandoned, declared void, race conditions altered after bets, venue changes or the surface changes. For more information, see the Rules section on the Bet365 website.

Customer care & contact details
With Bet365, I’ve always had a really positive experience with the help offered by the customer service team. There are multiple contact methods to get in touch with the customer services team and, yes, I’ve used them all and have included those below.
- Live Chat 24/7 – this is great for many reasons. Lots of my fellow betters and I prefer to use this option because we don’t like chatting on the phone very much, but Live Chat gives you instant feedback to your query. Whenever I’ve used this feature, I’ve had access to an operator instantly and have never had to wait for longer than one minute to be chatting to someone live.
- Email Support – This is another option I’ve used regularly. I like the fact that you can’t get disconnected with email support so you don’t need to worry about being distracted by the postman or accidentally closing the window (I have done both of these). Usually, I’ve got responses to my queries within an hour or two, depending on how busy the service is. If you can’t wait that long, then live chat is a better choice.
- Telephone Support – I have used telephone support even though it’s not my favourite way of accessing support, but that’s nothing to do with Bet365. Their support on the telephone was great, but I did have to wait in a queue for a short while, but it wasn’t longer than a few minutes. I was asked my account information when I called. Therefore, it’s a good idea to have everything ready before you dial. Post. You might think that this is a somewhat old-fashioned way of getting in touch but nevertheless it’s there should you need it!
Final verdict & rating
Many people across the UK believe that Bet365 is the only place to go for horse racing betting. The website is both stylish and sleek and has a wide range of additional features. I love how many promotions and offers there are with regards to horse racing, especially when you consider this isn’t always the case with other betting sites. My favourite feature of the Bet365 Horse Racing section, however, is the exclusive promotions on the mobile app. This really sets the site apart from its rivals. With the mobile site, I love how you can take advantage of great odds, and with the promises Bet365 offers, you always know you’re getting the best deal to be had.
My final rating of Bet365 horse racing betting: 9.5/10
