Greetings! My name is Atanas, I’m 32 years old, born and raised in Plovdiv and above all, I’m the driving force behind the website Betenemy.com. Having spent the more significant part of my life in this city, I can confidently say it is one of the best places to live in Bulgaria! 🙂
How It All Started and the Reasons Why I Set Up Betenemy
It was back in 2007 that I first tried my hands on administrating websites with some admittedly very poor-looking blogs and platforms. To be honest, I had no clue about SEO and marketing at the time but as the years rolled by, I got to learn a lot thanks to the Internet and of course, let’s not forget the importance of making mistakes and learning from them.
My passion for sports prompted me to research a variety of betting websites and online gambling as a whole. When we embarked on this journey (in 2016), we had the full intention of letting people read some honest and unbiased reviews regarding betting operators as well as their array of services. This is how we made a name for ourselves in the iGaming industry and managed to cement our place there firmly. Slowly but steadily, Betenemy came to be a leading sports betting portal where readers could find professional forecasts and reviews for bookmakers from all over the world.
What is it that I do for the site?
My primary responsibilities for Betenemy entail task-management and making sure everyone in our team does their job is a professional and timely manner. At times, I always help out with the creation of original content and stylising it on our webpages.
More About Me
I take pleasure in all aspects of technology and web related activities. This isn’t much of a surprise as entrepreneurship has been in my blood ever since I was a teenager. I also love sports and was practising rowing for 11 years, the last four as a professional rower. I dare say being involved in sports for so long has built my character, and thanks to it, I have gained qualities that help me both at work and when communicating with people in my everyday life.
I am a fan of long walks, genuine people, and honest conversations on topics concerning career and personal growth alike. I can safely say I have surrounded myself with cool people worthy of my respect. I used to have more free time, which I dedicated to reading, but nowadays, ever since my hobby turned into my career, I haven’t had the time to read a good book.
My Education and Training
My secondary education was centred on Computer Science and Information Technology, and I went on to pursue a similar major at university. I hold a degree from Plovdiv University, but my learning experience didn’t end there. In addition to interning in several IT companies, I also took a number of additional courses in Marketing and ended up receiving Google certificates. Despite it all, I believe it is up to me to learn and get more knowledgeable about things that interest me without putting all my faith in the educational system.
The motto I go by is:
Friends and good manners will carry you where your money won’t!
